R S PURA: In a case of poison consuming, mother and her son died while daughter is serious in Government Medical College Hospital Jammu.
A widow of village Rangpur Sidhra, Tehsil RS Pura allegedly consumed poison alongwith her son and a daughter on Thursday at her residence. The woman identified as Anuradha Devi widow of Abhiman Singh, her son Ayushman and her daughter Akriti consumed poison during day time.
Her father-in-law who was away to Jammu on returning back found the room bolted from inside. He with the help of his neighbours broke open the door and found all the three lying in unconscious condition in the room. All the three were immediately shifted to Sub District Hospital RS Pura where both Anuradha and her son Ayushman were declared as dead while Akriti’s condition was serious.
She was immediately evacuated to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu after providing first aid.
The reason behind taking such an extreme step to end their lives could not be ascertained. However sources said that the woman was mentally upset for the last few days. The police have registered the case and investigation is on.
