Regional party only solution to Jammu’s woes: Harsh

RAMNAGAR: Urging upon the people to support and strengthen Panthers Party in its fight against differential and discriminatory treatment doled out to Jammu Region, Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman JKNPP and former Minister, on Sunday said that a Regional Party alone could dispense justice to the hitherto deprived Dogra and incarcerated land.
He said that a local party alone could address and redress the regional and local issues of the people who had been cheated and betrayed umpteen times by national parties like BJP and Congress. He was addressing huge public meetings in villages Sunetar, Dehari, Jallow and Kaghote of Ramnagar Constituency.
While addressing large gatherings, Harsh said that there was a growing tendency amongst the people across the country to opt for Regional parties as against the national parties in State elections.
He said that JKNPP having proved its mettle in the Assembly as well as outside and having proved its secular credentials deserved full support of the people of Jammu region.
He also said that it was Panthers Party alone which was vigorously agitating for the multifarious concerns of Jammu region and its people.
He said that JKNPP had organised around 107 protest demonstrations during the last one year in Jammu and Delhi to highlight the Jammu releated issues including those of unemployed youth, under-employed, employees, farmers, traders besides those relating to general public.
He said that JKNPP is fighting for the cause of POJK migrants, border residents, west Pak refugees and Jammu migrants from streets to Supreme Court adding that Panthers crusade for Jammu cause shall continue till the due share of Dogra land was restored to it with di]gnity and honour.
With regard to the local issues of the constituency, Harsh expressed concern over the shabby plight of roads and power sector and assured early action in the matter. He regretted the in-ordinate delay in establishment of Power Grid Station in Sunetar as proposed in 2013-14 and called upon the Power Development Department to immediately expedite the process. He assured early widening and upgradation of Sunetar Road, construction of Sunetar-Baba-Khadsar-Udhak Road, early mecademisation of Kaghote-Lehri-Kheen road which were got approved during 2013-14. He called M and RE officials to ensure immediate replacement of damaged transformers and rectification of low voltage problems at the earliest.
Manju Singh, senior leader of JKNPP, while taking a jibe at the ‘Achhe Din’ slogan of the BJP said that people were desperately missing ‘old bad days’.
She assured the people of Ramnagar that all their issues would be agitated by the Panthers Party at the appropriate forums.
Others who spoke the occasion included Pt. Shiv Ram Sharma, Pavan Dev, Yog Raj, Bodh Raj, Jagan Nath, Satyarath Pati, Des Raj, Mohd Farooq, Ashok Kharka, Charan Dass, Uttam Singh, Mohit Mankotia and Subash.
