KATRA: Police on Friday arrested a bootlegger and recovered 38 pouches of liquor from his possession.
According to report, a police team headed by Inspector Sanjeev Sharma, SHO Police Station Katra acting on a specific input, laid a Naka at Varun Chowk Katra. During checking, the police team recovered 38 pouches of J and K Excise Liquor from the possession of Kali Dass son of Chatru resident of Kundrorian Tehsil Katra. The accused person has been arrested and recovered poly pouches of liquor have been seized.
A case vide FIR No. 50/2016 section 48-A Act, 188/RPC was registered at Police Station Katra and investigation of the case is in progress.
