One killed, 8 injured in road accidents

UDHAMPUR: One person died and eight others received injuries in various accidents on the National Highway in the district on Friday.
According reports one person died when the bike (JK02BH-3412) he was riding hit by a truck (JK14C-9631) near village Nimbla in Ramnagar on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Roshan Lal son of Madan Lal resident of village Kogarmal who succumbed to his injuries on the spot while the other injured was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors seeing his condition serious referred him to GMC Jammu.
However police conducted autopsy of dead and handed over the dead to family members.
In another accident a car bearing (JK14B-5404) which was on its way to Udhampur from Doda met with an accident near Kah Morh on National Highway leaving six injured including two minors. All injured were shifted to district hospital Udhampur. Victims were identified Nazia (7 years) daughter of Farooq Ahmad, (4 years) Kafaut Ullah son of Farooq Ahmad, 37 years Jamina wife of Farooq Ahmad, Zameela wife of Javed Iqbal, Mohd Riaz son of Mohd. Saleem all residents of Doda.
In another accident a Scotty hit a passerby near Kali Mata Mandir near Ghari injuring a 68 years old Ram Lal son of Girdhari Lal resident of Garhi in Udhampur. Victim was shifted to district Udhampur.
