Dear Editor,
The Tricolour is the only visible symbol of whatever is left of patriotism. To snide Smriti Irani for her love for Bharat Mata is in bad taste, especially when today the need is to take more pride in it, considering the weakening slogan of “Bharat Mata ki jai”. India has already given the widest room for dissent to all religious and on socio-political platforms. But slogans of dismembering India is definitely anti-national and should be condemned. Universities are not isolated from national fervour. It is here where national loyalty should take firm root.
