JAMMU: JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi follows play way method of education which helps the children to develop a range of skills including cognitive, social, emotional and physical ones. It helps them to develop problem-solving attitude , creativity, language and numeracy skills too.
With the same motto , various activities for Prep wing children were conducted on Friday. The children seemed energetic, enthusiastic and confident. They performed brilliantly.
The Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah expressed, “The aim of JKPS is to develop and co-ordinate toddlers critical thinking , logical reasoning, retention power ,Motor skills through variety of activities like Play board games, flashcard games, stacking and building games, wooden blocks, jigsaw puzzles, pattern recognition worksheets, shapes and colours identification blocks etc.”
She further remarked, “The first few years of a child’s life is critical for their overall growth and development, that is why we are concerned about the overall development of jakiians. Teaching at JKPS Panjtirthi revolves around activity-based learning and here play acts as a driving force that stimulates the innate abilities and potential of each child. “
She added, “Creating playful classroom activities allow children to participate and engage in learning without the burden of performance and evaluation, and thereby enables them to express with freedom which ultimately boost their confidence.”
The Prep Wing teachers played a pivotal role in executing the activities fruitfully in their classes.
