Construction of Mini Secretariat at Mendhar: DB seeks actual position of works

JAMMU: In contempt petition filed by Zulfikar Ahmed Khan and another for violation of judgment dated December 29, 2016 whereby writ petition WPPIL No. 22/2016 was allowed with certain directions, a Division Bench of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court Comprising Justice Tashi Rabstan and Justice Rajesh Sekri after hearing both the sides, observed that this Court vide order dated November 9, 2021 had directed AAG appearing for the State to file status with regard to actual position regarding the construction and completion of the Mini Secretariat at Mendhar in Poonch. However, despite the lapse of more than two years, the status report has not been filed. DB granted three weeks’ further time is extended to do the needful in terms of order dated November 9, 2021, failing which, the Deputy Commissioner, Poonch shall appear in person before the Court on next date of hearing.
