Dr Jitendra holds online feedback session with BJP Ramban, BJYM Udhampur

NEW DELHI: Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh on Sunday held online feedback session with his constituency representatives, comprising Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District office-beares of Ramban and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) team of Udhampur.
The feedback included inputs regarding the progress of development work, implementation of Party programmes and the public mood in general.
This was in continuation of the recently introduced technology-driven initiative by Dr Jitendra Singh, whereby while as per the regular roster prepared by him he physically visits one district of his constituency every week for two to three days by turn, he simultaneously seeks to keep vitual contact with the other districts where he is not physically visiting in that given week. This week after having undertaken a physical visit to Kathua district and then leaving for Uttar Pradesh, Dr Jitendra Singh decided to vitually interact with his Party members from the two districts of Ramban and Udampur.
While the district team from Udhampur comprised mainly of the BJYM members including its President, office bearers and executive members, the team from Ramban district was represented by the district president of BJP and the entire district office bearers team.
The virtual interaction lasted for about three and half hours in which the Minister interacted in three separate groups, one by one, on an average for one hour with each group respectively.
During the interaction with the Ramban team, the Deputy Commissioner of Ramban, Mussarat Zia was also available online to respond to several of the issues raised pertaining to district Ramban.
Dr Jitendra Singh also informed them that he will be physically present in the Ramban district on the 11th of this month when Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will be visiting to inspect the new national highway segment between Banihal and Ramban.
The Ramban team raised issues pertaining to rehabilitation of the recent landslide victims and the progress of the Kendriya Vidyalaya to which the Deputy commissioner responded that things are moving in the expected direction and that very soon they will be able to accomplish the expected results.
Interacting with the Udhampur team, the Minister said that a StartUp expo will be organised very soon for two to three days so that there is awareness among the youth about new avenues and a change in mindset from the government job.
Dr Jitendra Singh also suggested that the BJYM and Kisan Morcha Members come forward to extend the Aroma Mission and Lavender cultivation on the same lines as has been done in districts Doda and Reasi as these missions have provided to be a very lucrative means of livelihood and the youth are happily engaging in their cultivation. He said, similarly we could explore agriculture as well as diary sectors in the case of Udhampur district.
He asked them to hold awareness camps for Agri-StartUps for which, he said, they would be provided all the technological, logistic and other support.
Dr Jitendra Singh appreciated his Parliamentary office team at Jammu and New Delhi for having put the system in place for this purpose. During the meeting, BJP party members unanimously held the view that in the last nine years, not a single week had passed when as an MP, Dr Jitendra Singh had not visited one or other district of his constituency and even during the COVID pandemic, he maintained regular contact, through telephone or video conference to know about the well-being of Party workers.
This new online initiative, they said, will not only widen the network of real time contact but also enables the introduction of new technology modes of contact between elected representatives and the elector.
