Phase-1 of the five-phase elections for Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly has sent the contesting political parties and candidates into frenzy. All the candidates and the parties claimed their victory well before the queues of voters even started thinning outside the booths during the enhanced time of polling. They even went on record expressing gratitude to the voters for support to them or their candidates.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for politicians not to gauge the pulse of people and continue to take them for granted by claiming victory even before knowing their verdict?
