Instead of working towards rehabilitating flood sufferers and meeting the challenge unfolded by ISIS after its flags made appearance in the capital city of Srinagar, the Chief Minister has flagged scrapping of Armed Forces Special Powers Act as priority. Ironically, it was the larger presence of the forces in Srinagar that saved people from worst natural disaster of the recent history. Now the politicians of all hues want them to return back of barracks leaving the Valley at the mercy of Pakistani terrorists.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for Kashmir centric politicians to ignore national security and prioritise their preferences in accordance with myopic electoral expediencies?
