Joining separatists’ bandwagon in tirade against alleged settlement of West Pakistan refugees, National Conference sees element of conspiracy in it to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir and its special status. The issue seems to be a post-election fodder for disgruntled elements in both the mainstream and separatist camps to use against the Indian nation. The people of Jammu have no problem in taking the uprooted brethren into the fold while vested interests in Kashmir are crying the foul.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the so-called secularists to maintain criminal silence over the inclusion of people from Myanmar and other non-state subjects in electoral roles and denying basic human right to those settled in Jammu for the past nearly seven decades?
