With suspense looming large over government formation in Jammu and Kashmir in the backdrop of fractured mandate, the national television channels kept anchoring special panel discussions entire day on Wednesday about, what they called, alliance formed by the arch rivals, PDP and BJP. This gave rise to speculations about new government taking over reins somewhere next week. However, anti-climax came when both the parties denied of even having initiated a formal or structured dialogue with regard to forming any alliance.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for self-proclaimed analysts and over excited channel anchors to rush to the conclusion without even bothering to take the stake-holders into confidence in a desperate bid to score points over one another without caring for their own credibility?
