Erroneously being perceived as a dormant part, Ladakh has all along been an aggressive region to seek its ‘due’ within the framework of Jammu and Kashmir State as its ‘legitimate right’ and not ‘charity’. Senior Congress leader Nawang Rigzin Jora has accused the Chief Minister of ‘pettiness’ for ignoring Ladakh region in concessional air-fare from Delhi to Leh, as has been decided in respect of Delhi to Srinagar and Delhi to Jammu routes this tourist season.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the Jammu leadership to demonstrate timidity when it comes to fighting for just rights of the region because of the possible annoyance of their political bosses?
