A senior police officer is reported to have directed all his subordinates in the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch to remove Personal Security Officers or PSOs from all the unauthorized people, who are not entitled to keep PSOs with them. It is a serious matter involving security of the sensitive state like Jammu and Kashmir which is reeling under Pak sponsored terrorism. There have been numerous instances of police personnel deserting the force and joining terror cadres.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the police organization to allow armed belt force personnel to roam around with ‘unauthorized’ persons, along with weapons and to leave their supervisory officers unpunished for allowing unauthorized deployments?
