KATRA: Police on Thursday arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 500 gram poppy straw from their possession.
According to a report, a team from Police Station Katra headed by SHO during checking at Nomain intercepted two persons namely Naval Kishore son of Charan Dass resident of Amritsari Dharamsalla Arli Road Katra and Mushtaq Ahmed son of Mohd Shafi resident Nomai and recovered 250 gms poppy straw from the possession of each accused making in all 500 gms poppy straw.
The accused persons were arrested and a case under FIR No. 75/2015 section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Sttaion Katra.
