IGP J interacts with IPS officers STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Four IPS Officers of 66 RR Batch-2014 allotted to J and K Cadre of the country called on Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Danesh Rana in his office chamber here on Friday.
During interaction, IGP Jammu briefed the officers with regard to the challenges being faced by police and security forces in view of militancy, crime and law and order front in the State. He also briefed the probationers regarding collection of intelligence related inputs connected with militancy and timely sharing the same with all concerned agencies to achieve the desired results.
On border management, IGP Jammu Zone gave detailed briefing to the probationer IPS Officers with regard to the issues emerged due to ceasefire violation on International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) and problems being faced by the police and civil administration dealing the situation in border area. He also briefed them about the steps which are required to taken in wake of migration of people in border area due heavy shelling by Pakistan troops from across the border. The probationers were also apprised about the measures being taken to strengthen the Anti Infiltration Grid on IB/LoC in border districts of Jammu Zone. He advised them to work with more dedication, devotion and in professional manner to tackle the emerging challenges being faced by the police and security forces on account of militancy and law.
