KATRA: World Champion wrestler Narsingh Yadav visited Katra to pay obeisance at Holy Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi. He was accompanied with two international wrestlers.
Narsingh, who is pride of India, was felicitated in an impressive function organized by Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary J and K State Sports Council who is also Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India and President Indian Style Wrestling Association. He was presented with a Mata Ki Chunni and picture as mark of appreciation and pride.
The proceedings were conducted by R.S Manhas while welcome address was presented by Shiv Kumar Sharma. The vote of thanks was presented by Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri).
Others present were Retd. Headmaster R.S Manhas, Babu Ram Sharma, Sukh Dev Singh, Ajay Singh, Ghansara Singh, Mubarak Singh, Ram Paul Sharma, Varinder Badiyal, Bittu Rania, Lochan Singh, Sat Paul, Om Parkash Verma, Murli Dhar (Munna), Rakesh Dubey, Pt. Gopal Krishan and Rajinder Mengi.
