RAJOURI: The gynaecologist of District Hospital Rajouri was suspended after the death of a young woman during delivery late in the evening on Wednesday.
According to report a young woman namely Shabina Kouser wife of Shamas Hussain resident of Gowardhan Chawa, Rajouri who was admitted in District Hospital Rajouri for delivery, died after giving birth to a female child. The family members and the relatives of the woman alleged that she has died due to the negligence on the part of Dr. Sangeeta Parihar, Gynaecologist attending upon the patient. They held a violent protest in the hospital and ransacked the furniture.
Meanwhile DDC Rajouri Shabir Ahmed and Dy SP Headquarter Hanief Choudhary reached the spot and tried to pacify the protesters but they insisted upon proper action against the gynecologist. Dr Sangeeta Parihar was suspended and attached to the Office of Chief Medical Office Rajouri. An inquiry has been ordered in the case.
The body was later was handed over to the family members after post mortem.
