JAMMU: In view of VVIP visit at Modi Ground Udhampur on tomorrow and for the convenience of general public and people who are attending the rally at Modi Ground Udhampur, Traffic NHW Ramban issues the Traffic Advisory.
all HMVs/LMVs operators are requested to strictly follow the Traffic Advisory issued from Traffic Headquarters J&K Jammu.
“All commercial Goods HMVs will ply on NH-44 in a regulated manner and all General Passenger vehicles shall be diverted from District Police Naka Mand to Jakheni via old Udhampur Town road for there to and fro journey between Jammu and Srinagar, vice-versa,” reads a Traffic Advisory.
It added, “On April 12, 2024, all Jammu/ Reasi side Rally bond buses shall adopt route- District Police Naka Mand to Jakheni via old Udhampur Town to Gole Mela- Ballain- UP tube -deboarding of passengers – U-Turn and will be parked from Gole Mela to Sangoor. MMVs/LMVs heading for rally from Jammu Reasi shall adopt the following route- Jammu-Police Naka Flata-Birma Bridge-Kingil Cut-U- Turrn-Kingil village Road-Ballian -deboarding-parked in designated parking slots.”
“All Kashmir/DKR emanating rally-bound vehicle will adopt Jhakheni -Gole Mela- UP tube -Ballian -deboarding of passengers – designated parking slots in the same tube.” it added.
People are requested to maintain traffic discipline and cooperate with Traffic Police while traffic regulation and parking their vehicles in designated slots to avoid unnecessary haltage of their vehicles at old Udhampur route – Ballian to Gole Mela -Jakheni-Dhar Road.
General Public is also requested to use old interior route for their onward journey to Jammu/ Srinagar and strictly avoid NH-44.
