JAMMU: Various institutions celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm by unfurling National Flag and by organising cultural programmes.
Cooperative Public High School, Amphalla celebrated Republic Day with great fervour.
Senior citizens from Old Age Home hoisted the National Flag. Children presented cultural programmes. President Balbir Singh Manhas and Director, Jitendra also attended the programme.

Government Higher Secondary School, Dansal, celebrated 68th Republic Day with great enthusiasm wherein Tehsildar Saima Sharief Khan was the Chief Guest, who unfurled the National Flag. Two contingent of GHSS Dansal and one contingent of Sachidanand Public School took part in the march-past. BDO, CDPO, ZEO and other officers of various departments witnessed the flag hoisting ceremony. A cultural programme was presented by the students of various schools.
Principal GHSS, Dansal, Vijay Kumar and Master Santosh Devi also spoke on the occasion.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Kulbhushan Sharma. Prizes were distributed among the participants. Vote of thanks was presented by Senior Lecturer, Dr Iqbal Qasim.
