BHADARWAH: In a shocking incident, two teenage girls died after they came under the impact of landslide triggered due to loosened rocks in remote Barnari Sigdi area of Tehsil Mughalmaidan in Kishtwar District on Saturday.
According to reports,both girls were gone to collect the firewood from the forest when they came under the impact of landslides in a Nallah near their house.
The Distt administration and police officers also rushed to Sigdi area, 30 KM from Kishtwar Town.
The deceased has been identified as Sameena Bano (15) daughter of Mohd Amin Gujjar and Begha Bano (15) daughter of Abdullah Gujjar both resident of Barnadi Sigdi, Chatroo Kishtwar.
“After hearing about the incident, Police and locals rushed to the spot. They started rescue operation and retrieved the bodies of duo from the debris,” said SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir. “2 other girls who were with them, however, escaped unhurt as they were on other side of the Nallah,” SSP added.
