JAMMU: Two persons were arrested and large quantity of narcotic capsules and injections were recovered from their possession here on Monday, a police officer said.
Wipan Balgotra and Ajay Verma were arrested near the railway station here and 4,280 intoxicating capsules and 11 injections were recovered from their possession, the officer said.
A case has been registered and investigations initiated, he said. Meanwhile in another incident a truck driver identified as Gurdeep Singh, a resident of Punjab, was arrested in Samba and 1.5 kg of poppy straw was recovered from his possession, the officer said.
He said that the accused has been booked under various sections of the NDPS act.
