RAMBAN: Police on Thursday arrested two absconders, who were evading their arrest for the last six years.
According to a report, acting on specific inputs, a special team, constituted by SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar, from Police Station Banihal conducted raid and arrested two absconders from Talab Tillo Jammu, who were at large since long. The accused have been identified as Abdul Hamid son of Mohd Qasim and Mohd Hanief son of Mohd Sharief Gujjar both residents of Talab Tillo Tehsil and District Ramban. Both of them were involved in a case registered against them at Police Station Banihal under FIR No. 119/2010 under section 188 RPC, 3 PC Act. The arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against the accused. Further investigation into the case is going on. Police team was led by Inspr Nazir Ahmed Dar, SHO Police Station Ramban under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Mohd Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
