JK Public School Kunjwani hosts ‘Mission Prahar’ Grand Master Shifuji exhibits self-protection tactics

JAMMU: JK Public School , Kunjwani, the first CBSE affiliated public school of J and K has been a pioneer in setting noval trends aiming to imbibe the life skills among 21st century learners.
The school hosted a grand event ‘Mission Prahar’ an unarmed combat for self-protection tactics and survival skill training wherein Grandmaster Shifuji Shaurya Bhardwaj with his team of commando trainers taught the skills to the participants.
Shifuji while addressing the audience spoke about his training module of self-defence and three seconds knock out with the help of available accessories like pen, ATM card, hairpin, cell phone scarf, purse etc. He also added that his training involves spiritual self realisation and mental healing too.
The training comprised of two sessions where the participants performed very enthusiastically. In the second session a special programme was conducted exclusively for girls. Young girls learnt the techniques for self-defence with great interest. The programme concluded with the felicitation of Grand Master Shifuji and his team.
The Chairman JK Educational Society, Raj Daluja, the members of the management, Gautam Daluja, Sidharth Daluja and Sara Daluja along with Director Brig. Sukhdev Singh extended their greetings and wishes to the trainers and the participants.
In all, 52 schools from all the three regions of the State took part in this mega event. Director JK Educational Society, Brig Sukhdev Singh earlier welcomed Grand Master Shifuji and his team as also other guests.
He informed all present about 25th year of the school’s continued contribution towards quality education to the students of Jammu region.
He mentioned that the school was celebrating the year with number of events which would end with a mega event in September 2017. The school was in forefront for trailblazing new projects.
He emphasised that training of girls as well as boys in self- defence in current society environment is of paramount importance.
He wished luck to all the participants and said that this kind of training programme is very important for the students because they not only equip the child with self-defence tactics but also induce in them the spirit of patriotism.
