Chaar Sahibzaade T20 Cricket Tournament

POONCH: Sultan Warriors and Rising Star Mankote outplayed its opponents in the ongoing Chaar Sahibzaade T20 Cricket Tournament, organized by Sikh Youth of Poonch at Sports Stadium Poonch, here on Wednesday.
In today’s first match, Sultan Warriors defeated Star Warrior Kolian by 42 runs.
Batting first, Sultan Warriors scored 152 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Mohd Zabeer was the top scorer with 39 runs while Azhar made 26.
For Star Warrior Kolian, Saleem grabbed four wickets for 24 runs.
In reply, Star Warrior Kolian failed to chase the target and managed to score only 110 for the loss of nine wickets in allotted overs. Jhanghir Bhatti and Choudhary Navid were the main scorers with 26 and 21 runs respectively. Irfan scalped three wickets for 21 runs and was declared the Man of the Match.
In another match, Rising Star Mankote defeated Lone Club by 41 runs.
Rising Star Mankote, batting first, scored 155 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Sharafat Khan played a brilliant knock of 75 while Zahid Jatt contributed 23 runs. For Lone Club, Iqhlaq grabbed four wickets for 36 runs while Hamza Ahmed claimed two wickets for 12 runs
In reply, Lone Club managed 114 run for the loss of six wickets with Mohd Huzaif scoring 28 and Aamir contributing 22.
Maqsood took two wickets for 12 runs, while Ajaz Shoka grabbed one wicket for 3 runs for Rising Star Mankote.
For his match winning inning, Sharafat Khan was declared the Man of the Match.
Today’s matches were officiated by Talit Wasim, Aman Sharma, Vikas Sharma, and Ishtiaq Ahmed, with Amandeep Singh Milky acted as the scorer.
The chief guest of the today’s matches was Simranjeet Singh, a member of JKSSRB, who interacted with players and appreciated the organizing committee.
The main motto of this tournament is to engage youth in sports aiming to keep them away from drug abuse and other antisocial activities.
