JAMMU: Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir (VAJK) on Thursday named the State boys and girls teams for the upcoming 44th Junior National Volleyball Championship to be held at Burdwan in West Bengal from December 25 to 30, 2017.
The teams, comprising 14 boys and girls each, shortlisted during three-day selection trials held at MA Stadium, here.
Now, the shortlisted players shall undergo 21-day coaching camp commencing tomorrow at MA Stadium here under the supervision of volleyball coaches of the J&K State Sports Council.
The coaching camp for selected players is sponsored by J and K State Sports Council (JKSSC).
The Teams:
GIRLS: Meena Devi, Ridhima Sharma Avantika Bagal, Monika Bagal, Manu Devi, Lavanya, Nazish, Nridosh Kumar, Aayushi Jamwal, Anjali Chib, Kanchan Sharma, Anant Bhavya, Rohini and Akanksha Chark. Standby: Manakshi Sharma, Harpeet Kour, Shazia Quarrshi, Akanksha Sharma.
BOYS: Nazar Singh, Rachit Bhau, Harsh Manhas, Basharat Hussian, Zahid Hussain, Toyab Gul, Kartik Sharma, Aman Singh, Abhinandan Sharma, Jasvir Singh, Vishal Singh, Subam Mehta, Iqbal Singh and Abishake Sharma. Standby: Rajbir Singh, Nishad Iqbal, Azhar Mehmood, Imtiaz Javid, Sachin Singh, Shakir Ashraf and Gurdip Singh.
