JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Badminton Association is holding 43rd State Championships at twin venues of Police Badminton Hall, Gulshan ground and Indoor Badminton Hall, MA Stadium, here from 17th to 20th November.
About 200 shuttlers from different districts of the Association are expected to take part in different age groups of boys and girls, a handout issued by the Association here on Thursday informed.
The competition in singles and doubles events shall take place in Under-13, Under-15, Under-17, Under-19 and men and women categories. In under-10 age groups of boys and girls there will only be singles competition, the handout added. Those interested players have been advised to submit their entries with the organising committee on or before 15th November.
Meanwhile, as per the Association those winner boys and girls in this state event shall represent the J and K in the upcoming Sub Junior Nationals (Boys and Girls) and Junior Nationals (Boys and Girls) being held at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh and Udupi in Karnataka respectively.
