JAMMU: Government SPMR College of Commerce claimed the overall trophy in inter-college weightlifting competition held under the banner of Department of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at Gulshan Ground, here on Thursday.
Commerce College lifters clinched five medals, including gold, silver and three bronze. Earlier, eight affiliated colleges of the JU took part in the two-day competition.
The title trophy was presented to Commerce College, by Director Sports, Prof. Avtar Singh Jasrotia in the presence of Physical Director of Commerce College, Ajaz Malik. Also present were Ravish Vaid, Gagan Kumar, P.D Singh, Jai Bharat.
