SOS Int’l shall continue to fight for PoK DPs’ cause: Chuni

JAMMU: SOS International on Saturday asserted that it shall continue to fight for the cause of PoK Displaced Persons (DPs) till the time justice is not delivered. This was said by Chairman of SOS International Rajiv Chuni while addressing a gathering here at Mahesh Pura Chowk on Saturday.
As the past practice, SOS International observed 22nd October as Black Day recalling the attack on Muzaffarabad by the tribals persuaded by Pakistan in 1947. Tributes were paid to martyrs of Muzaffarabad who sacrificed their lives for the sake of J&K and rest of the nation.

Two resolutions were unanimously passed by the delegates. The 1st resolution was presented by Prof. J. S. Mangal, Vice-Chairman SOS International seeking immediate retrieval of the areas of J&K State from the illegal occupation of Pakistan to restore PoK Displaced Persons at their native lands. The resolution was seconded by Roshan Lal, Vice Chairman SOS International.
The 2nd resolution was presented by Prof. N. N. Sharma, Vice Chairman seeking an end to discrimination with PoK Displaced Persons vis-à-vis Valley Migrants. Secretary SOS International, V. K. Datta seconded the resolution.
Launching sharp attack on Modi Government, Chuni said that settlement package is being hampered deliberately by this Government. “Perhaps, there may be some financial complications as far as cash compensation is concerned, what is forbidding Modi Government to extend employment package for PoK DPs unemployed youths?” He asked. “The struggle of getting rights for PoK DPs will be taken forward with great intensity and SOS International will not sit silent until the goal is achieved”, he asserted. Roshan Malhotra, Aditya Hans, Kewal Ram, Sharda Devi, O.P Khajuria, O.P Sudan, Tarvinder Singh, Sat Paul Lakha, Rajinder Kumar, Master Bodh Raj, Tilak Raj Sethi, Ashwani Bakshi, Capt. Ravinder Kumar and Parmodh Ghai also spoke on the occasion.
