KATHUA: Hundreds of activists of Shiv Sena (Bali Sahib Thackery) Kathua Distt. unit on Sunday held a protest at National Highway against the PDP- BJP Coalition Govt. and also burnt the effigy of State Govt. for not providing adequate facilities to Amarnath Yatris . The protest was organised by Shiv Sena Kathua unit under the leadership of Distt. President Arun Sharma and on the instructions of Party State Chief Dimpy Kohli .
While speaking on the occasion Arun Sharma expressed serious concern over deteriorating law and order situation in Valley which is creating problems in smooth conduct of Amarnath Yatra.
He said that Jammu and Kashmir is passing through a critical phase and both the Central and the State Government failed to curb this circle of violence.
He also said that because of soft approach towards the stone-pelters by PDP the anti nationals had virtually taken control of the situation with repeated calls for extensions of violent protests.
He said that because of violence at Valley Amarnath Yatris are suffering the most and for the last few days the number of pilgrims are decreasing. He alleged that State Govt. is also not providing necessary information to Amarnath Yatris creating lot of hardships for them.
Arun Sharma said that everyone needed to realise that Pakistan had directly involved itself in the Kashmir fires which if not doused could cause irreparable damage to the sociopolitical fabric of the nation and communal harmony in the State and country.
He cautioned that the raging fires of Kashmir could engulf the entire Jammu region with Doda and Kishtwar already having been partially affected, in case all political parties and nationalist forces do not join hands.
He regretted that with dozens of people killed, more than 1,500 injured and religious pilgrimage being assaulted, it was virtually a case of anarchy and lawlessness prevailing in Kashmir with no signs of government on the ground. He said that Central Govt. must take strict action against this and immediately impose Governor rule in the State in the interest of all.
