Senior BJP leaders delegation meets LG, discusses issues of public importance

JAMMU: Delegation of Senior leaders of Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and discussed various issues of public importance.
The delegation included General Secretary Vivodh Gupta, former President and ex-Minister Sat Sharma, Formers Ministers Sham Lal Sharma and Surjeet Singh Slathia, Chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi, Spokesperson Abhinav Sharma and President Youth Wing of Party Arun Prabhat.
Delegation took up issues pertaining to conducting of CUET exams outside Jammu Kashmir and concerns of students in getting admissions in colleges in Jammu and Kashmir. Delegation also thanked LG for taking corrective measures for this year on request of party.
Issue with regard to payment of pension to widows and old age and disabled also was taken for discussion to cover cases which are presently mot eligible because of legal position and expediting cases where eligibility is not under doubt.
Delegation also discussed the issues with regard to difficulties being faced for beneficiaries of Ration card as also cases which are pending in pipelines.
Delegation also pressed for settling of cases of Beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojna by regularisation of possession of small pocket of lands which are state land and under possession of Beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojna.
It was forcefully pleaded by delegation that recruitment process be expedited as lakhs of youth are waiting for jobs. Delay in selection process is causing distress and frustration amongst youth. Also issue of daily rated, contractual employees was taken up for early disposal.
Delegation also convinced Lieutenant Governor that pending cases of compassionate appointments be cleared without delay.
Majorly it was taken up that power curtailment during peak Summer is causing lot of discomfort and commotion amongst masses. It was agreed by LG that immediate steps will be taken to improve power supply .
On other issues also patient hearing was given by LG and he agreed to look into all issues raised and to direct redressal of grievances without delay.
The meeting ended with delegation appreciating the good works been done by LG Administration and the expectations that issues raised of public concerns and importance will be resolved at earliest.
