KATHUA: A meeting was held on Monday under the chairmanship of S. CharanJeet Singh, SDM Ghagwal and attended by all the Sarpanchs of Block Ghagwal, besides oficersof various departments.
During the meeting, sector wise progress was reviewed and instructions were issued to the officers of the departments to attend the problem of people and ensure immediate redressal.
The speakers pointed out that due to damage of transformer, electricity as well as water supply have been affected. They also informed that the transformer has been damaged for the last 10-20 days and till date not restored.
Assistant Executive Engineer PDD said that due to damage of workshop, the transformers have not been repaired. The matter has been telephonically discussed with Executive Engineer PDD and PHE for early restoration. The Sarpanchs of the area opposed the opening of Sabji Mandi and showed their resentment and demanded that Mandi should not be opened there.
