JAMMU: The Mysore University has invited Chairperson of State Accountability Commission (SAC) Justice B A Khan, former Chief Justice of J&K High Court to present honourary Doctorate in Literature to renowned Industrialist, Philanthropist and Chairman of Wipro Dr. Azim Premji in Mysore on 22nd March, 2016.
The University is conferring the Doctorate on Dr. Prem Ji for contribution in rural education. He could not receive it on the university’s last convocation earlier due to his preoccupation.
The Mysore University, the oldest university in the country is celebrating its centenary and is holding a variety of programmes including a lecture series in which eight noble laureates have delivered so far. While Dr. Azim Premji will deliver a lecture on “Improving School Education in India”, Justice Khan will speak on the University Autonomy-a myth or reality.
