JAMMU: JKNPP on Sunday staged protest against the state government for its continuous discrimination with the people of Jammu and Ladakh regions.
Led by Neeraj Gupta, Zonal President Jammu JKNPP, the party activists assembled in front of the Press Club of Jammu and raised slogans against the State Coalition Government.
Briefing media persons here, Gupta said “We will fight for rights of the Jammu people till the last drop of blood left in our body. We are ready to sacrifice for the noble cause and nobody can stop the Panthers Party.”
Gupta said that the present government has been failed to do justice with the people of Jammu region as far as employment policy is concerned. He asserted that the revenue of tax collection from Jammu is much more as compared to Srinagar even then the Jammu people are being neglected on all fronts.
“People of Jammu city are facing many problems including dilapidated conditions of roads, scarcity of power and water, less number of government jobs in comparison to Kashmir Valley youth, etc,” Gupta said adding that the State Government has recently ordered withdrawal of cases against the stone pelters as the hundreds of nationalists who were detained during Amarnath land row were still languishing in jails and those who laid down their lives in the agitation had been dishonoured and forgotten by the present BJP Government.
“Why Jammu people live like second category citizens in their own State. We shall no more accept the slavery of the Kashmiri rulers’,” he said, adding that BJP has forgotten the sacrifice of Syama Prasad Mukherjee just for the sake of power and is taking undue advantage of the innocent people of Jammu.
Gupta emphasised that reorganization of J and K is the only way to end discrimination with Jammu, Ladakh regions.
