He said the area also possesses potential to be a befitting base destination for the revered pilgrimages of Mata Vaishno Devi and Shri Amarnath besides take off point for picturesque Kashmir, Patnitop and the Ladakh region.

The Provincial President said a strong edifice of development has been laid which is needed to be carried forward with renewed vigour. “For this, the people have to come forward in a big way during the ensuing elections and stamp their approval to continuity”. He said massive mandate to National Conference is imperative, as the coalition culture has not been conducive for satiating the urges and aspirations of the people.
“National Conference is not just a political party, it is a movement that has shaped the destiny of the state by overcoming challenges during most turbulent times”, He said the trust reposed by people in National Conference has enabled it to overcome the difficulties especially during past few decades and steer the state to peace, tranquility, progress and development. “Situation was really challenging when the Omar led government took over the reins in the backdrop of horrendous events”, he said, adding the political sagacity of the Chief Minister led to normalcy and peace which got consolidated in the subsequent years.
Rana also cautioned the people to remain vigilant against divisive forces who may try to polarize the situation with an eye on votes.
