JAMMU: To strengthen the relations between public and police, and to bring youth nearer to the police for prevention, detection of crime and to solve the problems of youths, a youth interaction meeting was held at Police Post Talab Tillo in which SP City North Dr Vinod Kumar, Incharge Police Post Talab Tillo S.I Rahul Mahajan and large number of youths participated.
Dr Vinod Kumar motivated the youths to form Volunteer Groups to strengthen the relation between youth and police for the betterment of society. He said that police department is already working very hard to crack the drug mafia. He sought co-operation from the public in controlling the crime especially for nabbing the drug mafia. He also requested the youth to inform anything suspicious they find in their area. Rahul Mahajan, requested the youth to stay away from drugs and follow the traffic rules. He also urged the youth to conduct tenant verification. Youth leader Keshav Chopra, requested the police officials to solve the issues of youth on priority so that youth feel secured and also thanked Police officers for conducting this meet. Sourav Gupta, Rohit Kerni, Tarun Uppal, Abhishek Gupta, Rahul Gu-pta, Mohit Gupta, Gautam, Manik Uppal, Tejinder Singh and Dheeraj Sharma were also present.
