POONCH: Pintu Club in men section and District Coaching Centre (DCC) in girls category won the title trophies in the volleyball tournament which was organised by 93 Infantry Brigade of the Army under Operation Sadbhavna at Sports Stadium, here on Saturday.
In the finals, played today, Pintu Club defeated Manjit Club in straight 3-0 sets 25-23, 25-17, 25-15 while in girls final, DCC outplayed Government Higher Secondary School 2-1 (25-22, 20-25, 15-10).
Deputy Commandant of 93 Infantry Brigade, Col M.S Sabarwal was Chief Guest, who gave away the title trophies. Among others present were Lt Col C.B Balwara, CO Col. S Bhatacharaya, Lt Col Ashish Chopra, Makhan Lal DPO, Prof Fateh Mohd Abbasi, Krishan Lal Sharma, Sham Lal Sharma, K.K Kapoor, Narjeet Singh, Prem Parkash Luthra, Ravinder Singh Mustaq Ahmed, Ravi Kumar and Mukesh Kumar. The finals were officiated by the technical panel comprising Narinder Singh, Ranjinder Singh, R.S Toofan, Jatinder Sharma, Abdul Majid Dar and Ram Prakash.
The event was organised under technical supervision of Incharge Sports Stadium, Nirdosh Kumar.
