JAMMU: In a nail-biting cricket match played between Media XI and Sterlite Cricket Club (SCC) here at Phallain Mandal ground, the former beat the later in last over. Batting first after winning the toss, led by Irfan, SCC set a huge 214 run target in 25 overs. Muthar of SCC hit highest 59 runs in 40 balls with nine fours and one six. Ranjeet Singh of Media XI in his 5-over spell took two wickets giving 37 runs.
Media XI, led by Mir Imran, chased the target in 24.3 overs. Irfan Habib played highest 61-run inning for the team in 21 balls by hitting seven sixes and three boundaries. Irfan Habib of SCC took three wickets in 5 overs giving 39 runs.
Subash Chander, former Sarpanch of Mandal was the Chief Guest who was felicitated by Mir Imran with a memento. Sachin Singh, Manager of Media XI team was the organiser while Achit Mahajan was the scorer in the match.
