JAMMU: The combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Departments on Monday emerged as champion in the annual inter-college men’s kabaddi tournament held under the aegis of Directorate of Sports and Physical Education here.
In the final, PG Departments outplayed Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua by a margin of seven (38-31) points. The title clash officiated by the technical panel including Ankush Gupta, Keshav Singh, Harpreet Singh, Ankush Sharma and Amandeep Singh.
The championship trophy was presented to the winning PG team by Director Sports and Physical Education, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau, who appreciated the fighting spirit in the GDC Kathua team.
Prominent among others present were Dr Balwinder Singh of GDC Kathua, Dr Brij Baloria, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia, Gagan Kumar, PD Singh, Jai Bharat, Vikesh Sharma and Goutam Sharma.
