Pawan Memorial T20 Tourney: Vijay guides New Challenger to final

AKHNOOR: Sailing on all round performance from Vijay Dogra, Krishna Nagar Cricket Club (KNCC) on Wednesday made it to the final of the ongoing VIth Pawan Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, organised by the Singh Cricket Club, here.
In the semifinals, New Challenger trounced KNCC by six wickets. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, KNCC made 137 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Prince made highest 32 runs off 19 deliveries while Lucky and Raman contributed 15 and 20 runs respectively.
For New Challenger, Somay Jain took three wickets while Vijay Dogra and Akash bagged two and one wicket respectively.
Later, New Challenger chased the target making 141 runs in 17.4 overs losing four wickets. Vijay Dogra played superb innings of 13-ball 31 runs while Ashu too made same 31 runs off 33 balls. Manjeet Singh and Siddharth added 26 and 19 runs respectively. Sanjay bagged three wickets from KNCC while Atul took one.
For his all round performance, Vijay Dogra was named Man of the Match. Today’s semifinal was officiated by Vikas Bali and Suresh as Umpires while Manik Sharma maintained the score.
