KATRA: Police on Thursday arrested a bootlegger and recovered 38 pouches of liquor from his possession.
According to a report, acting on a specific input, a police team led by SI Manminder Singh, In-Charge Police Post Kakryal laid a special Naka at Chak Bhagtha and during checking/frisking, police recovered 38 pouches of J and K Excise liquor from the possession of Kuldeep Kumar son of Kirpa Ram resident of Chak Bhagtha Tehsil Katra district Reasi who was on way towards Katra town in his Maruti Car bearing registration No.JK02AG/3530. The accused person was arrested, car bearing registration No.JK02AG/3530 which was used for transportation of illegal liquor seized and a case vide FIR No. 148/2016 under section 48-A Act, 188/RPC stands registered at Police Station Katra.
