UDHAMPUR: In two different suicide bids, an elderly person reported to be died after consuming poison, while a youth was critical after attempting suicide.
According to a report, 57 years Parkash Singh son of Kewal Singh resident of village Samroli in Udhampur consumed some poisonous substance at his house. On seeing him lying unconscious his family members shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him brought dead.
While in another suicide bid, 25 years Karan Singh son of Nasib Singh resident of village Ladda in block Panchari in Udhampur took poisonous substance to end his life. Victim was shifted to nearby PHC from where he was referred to District Hospital Udhampur. Doctors on seeing his condition critical further referred him to GMC Jammu. However Chenani and Panchari Police have registered the cases and launched the investigation.
