Northern Command Basketball Tournament;APS Udhampur girls, APS Akhnoor boys clinch titles

AKHNOOR: Army Public School (APS) Udhampur and APS Akhnoor clinched the Northern Command APSs Basketball Tournament titles in girls and boys section respectively Two days Northern Command Army Public Schools Tournament hosted by APS Akhnoor concluded on Friday with prize distribution ceremony. Earlier, in the girls final, APS Udhampur defeated APS Rakhmuthi while in boys APS Akhnoor outplayed APS Udhampur by 52-24 points and claimed the first position in the tournament. In girls Best Player of Tournament award was given to Kartika of APS Udhampur and in boys the award goes to Rohit of APS Akhnoor.
In the semifinals played today, APS Akhnoor outplayed APS Dhar Road and APS Udhampur downed APS Rakhmuthi in boys section and in girls APS Udhampur trounced APS AKhnoor and APS Rakhmuthi blanked APS Dhar Road. In the closing ceremony, Chief Guest, Col C.S Sharma, who was received by Principal K.C.S Mehta and Maj Kaustubh Tyagi, interacted with all teams and wished them all the best in future. He also gave away trophies to winner and runner up teams. Brig Rajemdra Joshi, Chairman of APS Akhnoor also sent his best wishes to all teams.
