KISHTWAR: Taking the administration at the door steps of common masses of district Kishtwar, all the thirty seven new administrative units of District Kishtwar including three new subdivisions of Padder, Chatroo and Marwah, seven Tehsils at Bunjwah, Drabshalla, Nagseni,Mugal Maidan, Machhail, Warwan and Dachhan , 22 Niabats and five C D Blocks started functioning effectively from today.
On the strict directions of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohd. Javed Khan, a record number of almost 700 cases pertaining to issue of PRC certificates, RBA, SC, ST certificates, registration of mutations, issue of income certificates, dependent certificates, title verification, relief cases etc were disposed off on the very first day of functioning of the new units.
Initiating a unique step towards the effective delivery of essential services at the door steps of common people, the DC Kishtwar has asked all the heads of administration units to adopt schools and special categories like SC, ST Bastis and other weaker sections. Special camps will be organised in these schools and villages in which all the essential certificates and other documents will be issued to them, thus saving precious time and also avoiding the unnecessary red tapism. The weaker sections and poor masses will be hugely benefited by this extraordinary move.
A team of senior officers including ADC Mohd Hanief Malik, ACR Sudershan Salaria and Tehsildar Kishtwar Phulail Singh was deputed to various Tehsil and Naibat Headquarters to supervise and monitor the functioning of new units. Deputy Commissioner Mohd Javed Khan himself visited the subdivision Chatroo and Tehsil HQ Mugalmaidan and inaugurated the offices of SDM Chatroo and Tehsildar Mugalmaidan.
Khan directed the concerned SDM and Tehsildars to strictly follow the provisions of Public Services Guarantee Act and ensure time bound disposal of all the cases. He asked the officers to develop an efficient delivery mechanism and give priority to relief and rehabilitation cases. Khan also met local people there who apprised him of the problems being faced by them on account of recent floods. He assured them that the district administration will leave no stone unturned to properly rehabilitate them and all the relief and rehabilitation cases will be taken on war footings.
