SAMBA: Police on Thursday arrested five gamblers and recovered Rs 11,800 and playing cards from the gambling spot.
According to a report, a police party headed by Inspector Ravinder Parihar, SHO Police Sttaion Samba under the supervision of Anil Magotra, SSP Samba and Vijay Pal Singh, Dy. SP HQ Samba conducted raid at a nursery near New Stadium Samba and nabbed five gamblers namely Puneet Gupta son of Jagdish Gupta resident of Ward No. 2 Samba, Sachin Sharma son of Puran Chand resident of Ward No. 5 Samba, Sandeep Kumar son of Amrit Pal Ward No. 7 Samba, Aatish Kumar son of Ravi Kumar resident of Ward No. 3 Samba and Sachin Sharma son of Raj Kumar Sharma resident of Ward No. 6 Samba and recovered Rs. 11,800 as gambling amount (AKADI) alongwith playing cards from the spot. All were booked under section 13 Gambling Act.
