Model Colleges

0 66

Dear Sir,
In our State the number of Govt. Colleges during last few years has almost increased four times. Almost higher education is being provided to people at their doorsteps. Of course it is a big achievement. I here suggest that in every district one college (preferably oldest one) should be converted as a Model College where the class size should not be more than 40 students and it should be a fully residential college. Admission in these colleges should be made on basis of entrance. Subject combinations of these colleges should be of highest market value and relevant to competitive examinations. All faculty members should be permanent and highly qualified. Moreover these colleges should be autonomous. All class rooms should be smart class rooms. Library should be automated and it should remain opened twenty four hours. Online books /journals should be available. Students should be provided good Internet facility in college as we as in hostels.
I hope product of these colleges will be competent enough to do NET/SLET, IAS/IFS. This will also develop competition in higher education and of course also raise its standard. In this way other colleges will also flourish because those students who will not get admission in these model colleges shall go for admission in other colleges.
