7th Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Hockey Tournament

JAMMU: Mahant Bachittar Singh (MBS) Club Simbal Camp, Deshmesh Club Nanak Nagar and Air Force Station Jammu registered wins in the ongoing 7th Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Hockey Tournament, organised by Kashmir Sikh Sangat under the aegis of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir at K K Hakku Stadium here on Thursday.
In first match of the day, MBS Club Simble camp beat SHC Hockey Club Gole Gujral by five goals to nil. Prabjot Singh (Goalkeeper) from MBS Hockey Club Simble was declared as Man of the Match, who was awarded by the Chief Guest, Jaswant Singh and Guest of Honour, Gurdeep Singh Reen.
In another match, Deshmesh Club Nanak Nagar outplayed Bandurakh Hockey Club by two goals to one. Tejpal Singh of Dashmesh Club was adjudged as Man of the Match and awarded by the chief guest, Rajendra Koul (Senior Vice President Hockey J&K) and Guest of Honour, Surjit Singh Bali.
In third match, Air Force Station Jammu trounced Khalsa Warriors Gole Gujral by five goals to two. Mandeep Singh from Air Force Station Jammu was declared as Man of this Match and awarded by Chief Guest, Ram Singh and Guest of Honour, Tejpal Singh Mehta.
Others present were Karamjit Singh President KSS, Tejpal Singh Mehta, Dr. Dhanwant Singh, K.N Singh, Suraj Singh, Popinder Singh, Balbir Singh, Inderjit Singh and Surjit Singh Bali.
Officials of Hockey J&K G.S Bakshi, Rajinder Koul (Senior Vice President), Daljit Singh (Executive Member), Ishan Sharma (Treasurer) and Supinder Deep Singh Bakshi (General Secretary) were present.
Technical panel consist of Joginder Singh, Jagjit Singh, Harmanan Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Jasprit Singh Jimmy, Nazarat Hussain, Suraj Singh Jasrotia, Sahil Kumar, Sukhwinder Singh and RP Sarna.
