BAJALTA: Nagrota Youngstar Eagles on Friday registered a convincing win over Sidhra Waliabad while Bajalta Kings defeated Khanpur Panthers in Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament, an initiative of MLA Devender Singh Rana.
Winning the toss at Bajalta playfield in the Nagrota Assembly Constituency, Nagrota Youngstar Eagles decided to bat first and scored 117 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 14 overs.
Chasing the target, Sidhra Waliabad managed to score 103 runs in 14 overs after losing eight wickets. Nagrota Youngstar Eagles won the match by 14 runs. Kamal for his 11 runs and three wickets was declared Man of the Match.
In another match, Bajalta Kings outplayed Khanpur Panthers by three runs in close contest.
Batting first after winning the toss, Bajalta Kings managed to score 112 runs in 13.1 overs for the loss of all wickets. In reply, Khanpur Panthers failed to chase the target and manage to score 109 runs for five wickets in 14 overs. Hameed of Bajalta Kings was declared Man of the Match for his splendid last maiden over.
The matches were officiated by Saleem ur Rehman and Sadiq Hussain from J and K Youth Services and Sports.
The matches were played under the overall supervision of Faheem Tak, Vice President Take-1 Channel and Kuldeep Singh Jawmal, Member Organising Committee.
