DODA: A person died on the spot when the vehicle he was driving skidded off the road and fell from the hill near Dhara area of District Doda on Friday.
According to a report, A Maruti 800 bearing registration number JK02-4333 was on its way from Dhara towards Babore, when the vehicle reached at Bheri area, perhaps driver lost control on it , the vehicle skidded off the road and fell down about 300 feet, resulting driver died on the spot,” said SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir Khatana.
After getting information, police immediately rushed to the spot and along with locals rescued the driver from the vehicle and shifted him to Distt Hospital Doda, where doctors declared him as brought dead. After completing legal formalities, dead body was handed over to family members for last rites.
The deceased was identified as Mohd Sharief son of Ghulam Mohd Sheikh resident of Babore, Doda. Police has registered a case in this regard at Police Station Doda.
