SRINAGAR: Police has arrested a man and recovered Charas from his possession from Chaklipora area of Anantnag District.
On a tip off, a police party of Police Post Uttersoo, intercepted a Maruti 800 bearing registration number JK03C-9765 at Chaklipora in District Anantnag. On search of the car, police recovered half a kilogram of Charas.
A man identified as Abdul Rehman, son of Shahbaaz Khan, resident of Chaklipora who was driving the car has been arrested.
A case FIR number 72/ 2016 under Section 8/20 NDPS was registered against him and further investigation has been taken up.
